This course will chart the ways in which classical epic works of enduring literary merit inform numerous highly popular contemporary video games, visual novels(VN),and works of animation. Students of intermediate English language proficiency will learn how to meaningfully read selections of ancient epics from various cultures in English translation,alongside short works of secondary critical literature written in original English.
