This class gives occasion for students of intermediate proficiency in English to read Shakespeare in the original and by recent critical reception. In Fall 2022, we work on The Tempest. A collection of relevant critical studies is assembled next to the play to make available a live context where approach to the canon is informed by continuing literary and scholarly dialogs.
